Normal services have resumed!
Unfortunately we are experiencing a high volume of calls and workload (in particular prescription requests) due to last week’s severe weather period.
As a reminder, we do ask that you allow us two working days to process your prescription request, and for your local pharmacy to collect it from us. If you need your prescription before this time, you may be asked to collect your prescription from the surgery.
We are working as fast as we can to deal with the demand. Please bear with us.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
March 5th, 2018
We will be continuing with our emergency surgeries only today due to the adverse weather and travel disruptions.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing.
March 2nd, 2018
We are continuing to run emergency triaged surgeries only today due to the adverse weather conditions.
This will likely be the same for tomorrows surgeries unfortunately.
Many of the local pharmacies who have managed to open for business today may have to close early. So if you do need to visit your pharmacy today, you are advised to phone them first and make sure they are still open.
March 1st, 2018
Due to the adverse weather conditions today we will be running emergency triage services only.

Patient Satisfaction Survey
Our medical student is undertaking a patient satisfaction survey, in order to obtain information regarding how happy patients are with the care they are receiving at Levenside Practice. If we have your email address, you will shortly be receiving a request to participate in the survey.
Alternatively you can access the survey using this link:
The survey should not take more than 5-10 minutes to complete and will provide extremely helpful feedback for the practice.
Paper copies can also be collected at our reception desk.
All feedback is very much appreciated and will go towards service improvement at Levenside.

Reminder: Treatment of urinary tract infections at your local pharmacy
We posted regarding this new service in November. Now that it has been up and running for a couple of months and proving quite successful, we thought we would highlight the service again.
Pharmacists are playing a larger role within our communities. They offer a wide range of services in addition to dispensing our prescriptions. They offer smoking cessation therapy, minor ailments service, flu vaccinations and blood pressure monitoring to name a few!
Your local pharmacist will now also be offering treatment for urinary tract infections in women aged 16-65 years and impetigo for those aged >2 years.
There will be instances where referral back to your doctor will be needed, however the pharmacies advise to approach them first if you feel the need for treatment for the above ailments.
